Taylor Sheridan
2016
Though it's based on a movie script, this novel's gritty narrative about two brothers on a bank-robbin' spree struck a chord with me. It's got that Southern grit and resilience I appreciate, and the story's realism kept me turnin' pages. Sheridan's done a fine job of puttin' the West Texas landscape into words, and it's a bit of a departure from my usual reads, but it delivered some serious thrills.
