Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, learn the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
Watching Avatar: The Way of Water, I was struck by Cameron's dedication to pushing visual boundaries. The underwater sequences are a testament to cinema's potential for immersive storytelling. The film's color palette, especially in the bioluminescent scenes, felt like a direct homage to solarpunk aesthetics. Though the narrative treaded familiar ground, the world-building was so rich and textured, it was hard not to be captivated.
