A man and a woman meet in the ruins of post-war Poland. With vastly different backgrounds and temperaments, they are fatally mismatched and yet drawn to each other.
This Polish drama is a stark reminder of the cultural repression during the Cold War era. The film, though not crime-related, offers a poignant view of resistance and survival under oppressive regimes. The characters, though musicians rather than detectives, navigate a world of danger and uncertainty. The procedural aspect here is the survival of art and love in a fractured world. While it's not within my usual realm of Kriminalromane, the realism and cultural insight are commendable. It’s a refreshing departure from the usual noir narratives I am accustomed to.
