After leading his football team to 15 winning seasons, coach Bill Yoast is demoted and replaced by Herman Boone – tough, opinionated and as different from the beloved Yoast as he could be. The two men learn to overcome their differences and turn a group of hostile young men into champions.
This one's a real feel-good story. It's got football, which I love, but it's more than just a sports flick. It's about coming together, breaking down barriers, and showing what folks can do when they work as a team. Denzel Washington, well, he's just plain awesome in this. It's got a bit of that SEC football spirit I hold dear, but it's a tale of unity that hits home. A solid pick if you ask me.
