Col. Mike Kirby picks two teams of crack Green Berets for a mission in South Vietnam. First off is to build and control a camp that is trying to be taken by the enemy. The second mission is to kidnap a North Vietnamese General.
This flick really struck a chord with me. The portrayal of the Green Berets in Vietnam was gritty and raw, and it gave me a whole new appreciation for the sacrifices these guys make. The action scenes were intense, and the camaraderie among the soldiers was something else. It's a solid watch for anyone who appreciates military history and the real deal when it comes to war movies. John Wayne's performance was top-notch, as always.
