A new technologically-superior Soviet nuclear sub, the Red October, is heading for the U.S. coast under the command of Captain Marko Ramius. Die Genauigkeit in der Darstellung der militärischen und politischen Landschaft ist erfrischend, und die psychologische Tiefe der Charaktere geht über die übliche Hollywood-Dramatik hinaus. Ein gut gemachtes Stück Spionagegeschichte, das sowohl für meine deutsche als auch amerikanische Hintergründe relevant ist.
