Nicolas Winding Refn truly has an eye for the macabre, using the glittering Los Angeles aesthetic as a backdrop for a tale of vanity and obsession. Elle Fanning's portrayal of the aspiring model is a masterclass in simmering intensity, and the film's visual storytelling is nothing short of a sensory feast. While it's definitely an acquired taste, I appreciated its bold departure from conventional horror tropes.
