A man accidentally gets into a time machine and travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences.
I was impressed by how this low-budget Spanish sci-fi thriller managed to create such an intricate and compelling time travel narrative. The film's approach to temporal mechanics felt refreshingly grounded and logical, avoiding many of the paradoxes that often plague the genre. Karra Elejalde delivers a convincing performance as an ordinary man caught in an increasingly complex web of causality. While the production values are modest compared to bigger budget films like 'Looper', the clever writing and tight direction kept me engaged throughout. The film's exploration of determinism versus free will reminded me of what I loved about 'Predestination', though it takes a more intimate and claustrophobic approach to similar themes.
