I was really excited to dive into this digital world, especially given my love for cyberpunk aesthetics and philosophical sci-fi. While the visual design was absolutely spectacular and the soundtrack by Daft Punk was phenomenal, I found myself disappointed by the shallow exploration of digital consciousness themes that could have made this truly special. The film looked incredible and had some great action sequences, but it felt more like a visual showcase than the mind-bending experience I was hoping for.

Jeff Bridges brought some gravitas to the role, and there were moments that touched on interesting concepts about digital existence and identity. However, compared to films like Ex Machina or The Matrix, it didn't really challenge me intellectually or leave me pondering deeper questions. It's worth watching for the stunning visuals and nostalgic factor, but it falls into that category of missed opportunities where the premise had so much more potential.
