1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bufph ("Platform"), whether on iOS, Android, or the web, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2. Use of the Platform

You agree to use Bufph in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

• Unauthorized access or attempts to breach security.
• Misuse of AI-generated content or data recommendations.
• Uploading, sharing, or storing unlawful, offensive, or harmful content.
• Harassing, impersonating, or otherwise acting in bad faith toward other users.
• Using third-party integrations (such as AI assistants connected via the Model Context Protocol) to access or extract data beyond what is necessary for their intended function.
• Interfering with the functionality of the Platform or its services.

3. User Accounts

To access Bufph, you must create a free account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and any activities conducted under your account. Bufph is not liable for unauthorized account access or data loss due to negligence.

Your handle (username) is assigned on signup and can be changed, subject to availability. Changing your handle updates your public profile URL; choose carefully. Handles are locked for 24 hours after a change.

Account deletion is permanent. All associated data will be removed and the email address used cannot be re-used to create a new Bufph account for one year following deletion.

4. User Content and Social Features

Bufph allows you to add items to your library, rate and annotate them, and share your activity with users who follow you. By using these features, you agree that:

• Content you mark as read or watched may be visible to your followers in their feed.
• If you enable a public profile in Settings, your profile — including your name, location, ratings, and recent activity — becomes a publicly accessible web page, visible to anyone on the internet, including people who are not Bufph members. You can disable your public profile at any time from Settings.
• Your watchlist and any items not marked as read or watched remain private and are not shared with other users.
• You are responsible for the content you post and must ensure it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

Bufph reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

5. Third-Party Integrations

Bufph may be connected to third-party tools and services, including AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). When you connect such integrations, they access only the data necessary to perform their intended function. You are responsible for reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service you connect to Bufph. Bufph is not responsible for the practices or content of third-party integrations.

6. AI-Generated Content

Bufph leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance user experience, including recommendations, item recognition, and automated assistance. AI-generated results may not always be accurate, and users should verify critical information. Bufph is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

7. Data Privacy and Security

By using Bufph, you acknowledge that data collection, storage, and processing are governed by our Privacy Policy. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect user data, but we do not guarantee absolute security.

8. Limitations of Liability

Bufph is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bufph and its developers are not liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform.
• Data loss, service disruptions, or unauthorized access.
• Errors, inaccuracies, or malfunctions related to AI-generated content.
• Actions taken by third-party integrations connected to the Platform.

9. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in activities that harm Bufph, its users, or third parties.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time to reflect updates in our services, legal requirements, or security practices. Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
